In Alem, one hundred kilometers away from Posadas, there are 8 hospitalized people and over 40 homes and factories that have suffered damage. The wind has exceeded 150km/h.
According to reports from the authorities, an intense storm caused havoc on more than forty houses and industrial structures in the Leandro N. Alem town and its surrounding area last night. This is about 100 km away from Posadas. The damage from the weather phenomenon may be greater than estimated, and at least 8 people have been hospitalized with injuries due to cuts and blows.
The authorities have been touring the rural areas that are cut off from the rest of the city due to lack of cell service to check for further damages to people and property.
Cerro Azul was affected as well, located about 20 km from Leandro N. Alem. This area is marked by the concentration of many sawmills in this sector, as well as weed dryers. It also has large warehouses.
