Toronto Police has charged a teenager in connection with a number of home invasions that occurred early morning. Investigators claim the value of property and damages totaled over $1 million.

The investigators say that the suspect and another person are suspected of hitting four homes in a row starting September 11, 2023.

Police were dispatched to the Bayview Avenue/Eglinton Avenue neighborhood, where an accused suspect and another unidentified suspect entered the home by throwing a stone through the glass front door. They allegedly confronted and demanded car keys from the victim.

The police said that they forced the victim into their bedroom, where the key was taken. Then they fled the scene in their victim’s vehicle.

The accused, along with a suspected person were at separate addresses in the area of Bathurst Street and Highway 401 as well as Bayview Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East on September 12-13.

Police said that on both occasions the two threw rocks through the front glass door, broke into the houses, took car keys, and then fled.

The suspects visited a home in the Lawrence Avenue West/Yonge Street vicinity on September 14.

They allegedly demanded car keys and threw rocks through the front window. Both the accused and suspect fled with two stolen cars.

On September 21, a week later, the suspects committed a similar home invasion burglary near Darlingbrook Crescent and Royal York Road. The two suspects entered the house, stole the car keys from the owner’s vehicle and then fled.

On September 23, two days later, the suspects visited a home in the area of York Mills Road & Yonge Street. The suspects broke into the house but failed to find the keys for the vehicle and fled.

The pair stole two cars from a house in Islington Ave. and Kingsway on September 25.

On October 2, a week later, the same suspects broke into a home in the Kingston Road/Scarborough Golf Club Road region. The suspects took two car keys, but failed to steal the victims’ vehicles. They fled.

Naz Tokhi, a 19-year old Toronto man was arrested on November 7. The charges against him include nine counts for theft, nine counts disguised with the intent to steal, and six counts break-in.

On Thursday, the accused was in court.
