Calgary Fire Department confirmed that four garages and ten buildings were damaged by a fire which broke out in southeast Calgary.
Calgary Fire stated that Calgary Fire has destroyed 3 of the garages while one had suffered structural damage. Also, siding, windows and other structural damages were suffered by three homes as well seven structures.
Jamie Hannaford of Calgary Fire, the district’s chief qualified, described it as a “big fire in a garage, definitely.”
Hannaford claimed that it was because of its location in the dark, the fire didn’t get noticed.

The fire broke out in the 200 Block Prestwick Heights S.E. Calgary Fire stated that the report was made around 3:30 AM on Monday.
Ronnie Boquiz is one of the residents who was evacuated.
Calgary Fire estimated that it would take about an hour to bring the fire under controlled.
All residents of the houses were evacuated, and no injuries have been reported.
Stay calm, and you’ll (get to) handle the situation. Don’t panic,” Boquiz said.
Calgary Fire stated that 9 people and 1 cat were evacuated. According to the department, most people can return to their homes on Monday. However, two homes located in the middle will require extensive repairs before they are allowed back.
Calgary Fire still investigates the cause, and is calculating total damages.
