Strong winds have caused problems in the city’s urban area since Friday morning, according to Civil Defense of Santo Tome sources.
The report states that the strong winds in Atalaya caused roofs and poles to be blown off of some nearby roads. Several houses in Tablada were also affected. There are power line problems in the rural area of Los Bretes.
DPEC reported low voltage or no power in different parts of the town. This city has received 55 mm of rain. This Friday, the National Meteorological Service reported that strong thunderstorms were expected to occur in a significant part of Corrientes province during the day.
The locations that are under yellow alert will experience rains and thunderstorms of varying intensity. The storms are expected to be followed by heavy rain in a short time, with localized gusts of wind and/or hail.
Estimated values of precipitation accumulation between 20-50 mm can easily be exceeded if acted upon quickly.
