According to WSET, James Gina III (50) allegedly said, “I murdered the woman I love,” when he encountered the victim.
Police claim that the defendant had her hidden and intended to transport the body in a car rental. Gina was allegedly unwilling to drive his vehicle because it began to smell foul.
The police responded to a report of homicide near Desert Inn Road at Eastern Avenue on Monday.
Around 2:30 pm on Monday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was informed of an injured possible at a residence in 1600 block Golden Arrow Drive.
When officers arrived, they found Gina along with a woman who was dead.
The detectives found that Gina is the girlfriend of the victim and suspect for her murder.
According to WSET, the police said that she had suffered approximately twelve gunshot injuries. The woman was not identified.
Officers said that a witness reported hearing Gina and her victim argue. Police said that the witness went gambling, and returned several hours afterward to find the victim lying on the ground with a bullet wound in her chest.
The witness is said to have left and returned on the next day.

A second witness reported to detectives, that while the previous argument was taking place, Gina’s mother tried to intervene, but Gina warned her to also shoot her if she didn’t leave.
This second witness stated that the defendant was violent and used crystal meth.
Gina was allegedly planning to move the corpse in a car rental because she did not wish to use her own due to the foul smell that the body began to emit.
Officers reported that he refused to talk to police after they brought him to be questioned.
